  1. We travel extensively with our dogs and can safely say Mandy and Deb welcome our dogs with the same warmth, enthusiasm and sincerity as they welcome us with. Both the Cottage and the Stoney are outstanding examples of what a B&B should be, Mandy and Deb have captured everything we love about every B&B we've stayed in and combined it into one amazing experience. Our dogs love swimming in the dams, sleeping by the wood heater and playing fetch in the exercise area. We love the personal touches, wine on the verandah and peace and tranquility of the location. A place where we feel as comfortable in as our own home with the luxuries to make everyday a special treat can only described as perfect.

We can't wait to stay at Hollow Log again!

  3. Have just returned from 8 nights in perfect person and pet paradise. Mandy and Deb made our stay an absolute delight.

Raddish can now swim and had an amazing time. Connie (aka Nanna) who is 13 years old simply came alive and ran to the dam everytime we left the cottage for a walk and had the best holiday of her life!

Well worth the 9.5 hour drive to get there.

    Cannot wait to return.

  4. Thanks Mandy and Deb for our wonderful few days' break at the cottage. Apart from being so comfortable for the humans, it was so great for the dogs, too. They really did feel welcome and enjoyed the beautiful walks and the opportunities to relax by the fire. I loved the fact that they could sleep inside and they soon learned to wait on the mat while they had their paws wiped before coming back inside. We hope to be back again.

  5. We have just returned from our second stay at Hollow Log Estate and we are already planning our next visit! It is such a special place to stay. So relaxing and refreshing. It is a favourite place for us as well as our dog to holiday. It truly is pet friendly, the 'Five Paw Rating' award is well deserved. Humans & dogs are both catered for with that extra special touch provided by the hosts for each of us! Looking forward to our next stay!

  7. Just returned home from a weeks stay at The Stoney in Hollow Log Estate. Oh my god......
Relaxing, peaceful, quiet, and very very beautiful.
Mandy and Deb, you both go above and beyond to make the stay here a home away from home.
We will definately be back, and George had so much fun. He is now a seasoned swimmer after diving in th dam.
It was the little things that made all the difference.
Home made bread, jam, eggs, wine, chocs and even treats for George.
The cottage was warm and welcoming with the ned kelly fire.
Once again Thankyou so much, and hope to see you again soon. x

  8. What is so wonderful about staying here – apart from the views, peace and quiet and privacy – is the high level of comfort and cleanliness in the accommodation. Beautifully comfortable beds, pleasant surroundings, wood stoves with heaps of fuel plus the owners’ thoughtful gestures such as fresh bread, a bottle of wine and when the chooks are up to it, freshly-laid eggs. We’ve stayed here at different times of the year and any time it’s brilliant. And pets are welcome genuinely means that. On the recent June long weekend, we rented a place on the Great Ocean Road which claimed pets were welcome. But on picking up the keys, we were advised pets were not allowed inside the house! Leaving your four-legged best mate to sleep on an unprotected windswept veranda isn’t pets welcome at all is it? Plus we had to chop wet wood for a stove that didn’t work properly and offered the only form of heating on a very wet and windy few nights. We took our own linen (not a problem) but the doonas were not warm enough for winter. It was miserable and very disappointing. I mention this because Hollow Log Estate is a shining example of what holiday accommodation should be and is terrific value for money. The owners make it their business to make sure you have a pleasant stay away from home.

  10. This place has a marvellous outlook, wonderfully appointed cottage, beautiful gardens, on site walking/play area fopr dogs and it is just so peaceful.
Humans or dogs could not be better catered for. An outstanding property and easily the best Victorian PAWS property we have stayed at. 5 PAWS doesn't do it justice; it deserves a highter rating!

  14. What a fantastic couple of days. The dogs are so tired after so much adventure which included meeting the chooks, swimming in the dam and exploring the surrounding landscape. And the humans are already talking about when we could go again. Thanks very much. :)

  15. "What a piece of heaven for dogs and humans alike. The dogs loved the dam and the space to run around in the fenced paddocks. We walked into the Wombat State Forest and loved all the wildlife. Waking up to kookaburras laughing, beautiful rosellas and the kangaroos in the paddock just watching us.
It's all the little extras that made this stay so relaxing"
